Debra S. Martín

Debra Martín is a career educator. During her tenure with Asheville City Schools in North Carolina, she served as a Spanish Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Author and Editor, and Program Coordinator. Debra worked for the Visiting International Faculty Program for five years in the roles of Manager of Instructional Services, Cultural Programs, Events and Regional Placement Director. In her various roles, she worked closely with the teacher support staff and developed a system for assessing teacher performance, providing close mentoring, and support to recently arrived international teachers.

Anthony Gulla

Anthony Gulla is a former educator who worked as a teacher, administrative assistant, and Manager of Operations and Transportation for Greensboro City Public Schools and Guilford County Schools in North Carolina. Since 1995 he has been in the private sector where he has owned and operated a number of successful businesses through which he provided services to international teachers. He serves as Financial Officer for EPI.

Sonia Torres-Quiñones, Senior Consultant

Sonia Torres is a retired Wake County teacher of Spanish and ESL. Sonia has successfully taught at all levels of instruction and, during her teaching tenure, was recognized as “Outstanding Foreign Language Teacher of the Year” by The Foreign Language Association of North Carolina. Sonia is a popular workshop presenter. She has served in many state and regional committees and task forces in the areas of curriculum and instruction, has written books and developed many multimedia instructional resources for foreign language teachers. Sonia has extensive experience recruiting, placing and supporting international teachers.
